A colorful, autumnal view of Kentuck Knob is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Bus Tours magazine. Founded in 1979 and published six times a year, Bus Tours Magazine is the oldest independent magazine circulating to the bus and group tour industry.
Guided house tours of architectural museums such as Frank Lloyd Wright's Kentuck Knob and nearby Fallingwater are the perfect activities for a wide variety of coach groups, from international travellers and museum groups, to book clubs, church groups and university students.
Group Tours at Kentuck Knob receive special discounted rates!
Guided House Tours introduce visitors to Frank Lloyd Wright and his house for I.N. and Bernardine Hagan, Kentuck Knob. Through the interior and around the exterior, visitors learn about Wright’s vision for the house, his experience working with the Hagans and his philosophy of architecture, and the ongoing preservation by the Palumbo family. Duration: 45 - 55 minutes.
In-Depth House Tours of Kentuck Knob share an extended interpretation of the house and its history. In-Depth House Tours take visitors through two secondary spaces not available on the Guided House Tour. The In-Depth Tour provides a deeper, richer understanding of Wright’s vision for Kentuck Knob as well as highlighting the interior furniture and art collections. Duration: 75 - 90 minutes.
- ALL guests will be transported to the house via the Kentuck Knob shuttle bus. Coaches cannot access the house directly. Bus and coach parking is provided near our Visitors Center.
- Guided House Tour: 12 visitors per tour. Larger groups will be divided into smaller groups.
- In-Depth House Tour: 10 visitors per tour. Larger groups will be divided into smaller groups.
- In the tradition of the Hagans, our Snack Shop serves, snacks and beverages.
- Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled Group Tour time.
- Tours of Kentuck Knob are walking tours, however chairs can be provided if needed.
- Boxed lunches are available upon request for groups of any size.
- Public restrooms are located near the parking lot and are wheelchair accessible.
- Kentuck Knob makes every effort to accommodate visitors with disabilities. Our shuttle bus is not wheelchair accessible. Due to the unique layout of the house, certain areas are difficult to navigate. Disability accommodations can be made with advanced noticed to our Visitors Center staff.
- Visitors with service animals are welcome.
