25 Apr Road Closure Affects Kentuck Knob Visitors from 4-22 May
PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists that almost 11 miles of surface improvements will be occurring on sections of routes in Fayette County throughout the summer. These daylight projects include milling, base repair and placing an asphalt overlay depending on weather conditions. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers when necessary.
Of note to Kentuck Knob visitors:
Route 2019 (Ohiopyle Road) in Stewart Township from Kentuck Road to Route 381. There will be a road closure with a marked detour that uses Kentuck Road / Chalk Hill Ohiopyle Road (Route 2010), Route 40, and Route 381. This stretch is approximately 1.5 miles. Work will tentatively start on May 4, 2017
For ease of travel and to avoid unnecessary delays, PennDOT has provided a map of the suggested detour. Please refer to this map and update your travel plans accordingly between 4th May and 22nd May.
