28 Nov A Fun Idea for a Saturday in December…
A fulfilling experience of Architecture, Sculpture and Nature at Kentuck Knob welcomes peacefulness and simplicity during the busy month of December.
On each Saturday in December we’ve planned something special for our touring guests:
Saturday, December 5th
We’ll have our fire pit ready at the Visitor’s Center to warm you. Marshmallows? Of course!
Saturday, December 12th
After your tour you will find cookies, apple cider and a chance to sing along (if you like) to a few favorite holiday carols with Jay Clinton, an Indiana University vocal performance major, all at the Visitor’s Center. Cookies & cider are all day, carols are at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, and 2:30 pm.
Saturday, December 19th
After your tour, take a walk on our woodland trail and enjoy a conversation with curator, Emily Butler at our wonderful Andy Goldsworthy sculptures.
Saturday, December 26th
Touring guests will catch a glimpse of a rare site in FLW home: a basement. The original owners of Kentuck Knob, I.N. & Bernardine Hagan, asked Mr. Wright for this added space due to the long snowy Laurel Highland winters and the need of additional storage.
